Providence Technology Solutions is looking for consultants with 2+ years experience with the bswift platform. Desired areas of experience: Q/A. EDI, Testing, Configuration, & Implementation. These opportunities are remote and can be in a FT or PT capacity. The immediate need pertains to the Q/A and testing piece. Here are some bullets pertaining to the scope of work involved:

  • Review and test sites that are configured using the client requirement documentation
  • Provide feedback on the configuration regarding inaccuracy and testing failures and as well as solutions to correct the inaccuracies/failures
  • Develop client facing user acceptance testing scripts as well as setting up testing scenarios in the platform for those scripts
  • Evaluate the feedback and results of UAT and provide recommendations for final site updates.

SVP of IT Operations (Virtual) – Preferably SE Region

JOB SUMMARY
The SVP of IT Operations and Infrastructure will lead the Network, Telcom, Application Delivery, and Data Center teams.  These teams are in turn led by VP-level IT management.  Initially, this individual will be responsible for leading the IT Operations for a highly transformational enterprise Program to consolidate several functioning production systems into a core suite of applications built on a common, integrated framework to unify the services offerings in our market.  Throughout the Program, the SVP  will have direct visibility, insight, and share talent selection authority with the CIO over the IT Operations teams within the core IT function.  The SVP will be responsible for the implementation of the business’s new core systems and the retirement and decommission of all legacy systems.

The successful candidate will be selected based on their ability to meet the objectives of the current role, and will also be considered a principle internal candidate as successor to the CIO role.  Therefore, the incumbent must possess, at a minimum:

  •  Executive presence at the corporate leadership level and experience with Board level interaction
  • Broad managerial experience in multi-billion dollar, multi-divisional organizations
  • Resiliency, agility, persistence, and courageous leadership to drive clarity out of ambiguity
  • IT operations, strategic planning, and vision as core competencies in leading enterprise IT functions

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identification, analysis and execution of partnerships and alliances within the organization to ensure business requirement alignment and process unification
  • Planning, staffing, and executing IT Ops programs to achieve organizational objectives
  • Identification of business implications associated with regulatory environment
  • Participating in all IT department leadership functions
  • Monitoring application development of the Legacy systems during the program construction phase and transitioning to lead those functions during the client transition phase
  • Mentoring, coaching, and counseling key IT resources into increasing levels of competency and contribution
  • Negotiating terms, conditions, and rates with 3rd party suppliers, vendors and partners
  • Some Travel Required.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or engineering is required.  A Master’s Degree in business or management disciplines is highly desired.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Candidate will have served as the head of IT Operations or the head of IT (CIO, CTO) in one or more businesses in a High Performance (CMM Level 3) IT function
  • Experience leading large, diverse, “build” IT functions
  • Excellent organizational and management skills
  • Communication of complex topics in simple, clear, and concise language
  • Ability to interact vertically and horizontally across the organization
  • Development and management of strong peer relationships across the organization

This area supports the implementation of our clients’ products involving third party technology solutions.   The area supports the presentation of products for Customers then processes that data into policies and payroll deduction files. Supports the closing of the sale as well as implementation of our products on enrollment platforms, the processing of electronic data and the service of perpetual data files throughout the year.

Job Summary

This role supports delivery of electronic premium sales while ensuring operational effectiveness throughout the enrollment acquisition lifecycle into ongoing inforce administration. Manages client expectations by providing electronic sales solutions through the implementation of enrollment technology that enables client’s products to be enrolled on external proprietary enrollment systems.

Initiate activity based on a sales request and coordinate a diverse set of tasks with external business partners who include Employer, Broker, Enrollment Entity and Technology Vendor.  Also requires strong partnership with internal departments including New Business, Compliance, and Information Technology to facilitate the entire technical implementation process from product specifications, testing, data analysis, data processing and reporting.

Works in partnership with the Sales Leaders to market and deliver enrollment technology solutions to Employers and Brokers to influence the decision making process to award our client the business.  Primary focus is providing electronic enrollment solutions for large and mega cases (500+ employees).

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversees technical implementations of benefits programs with Employers and Vendors
  • Coordinate and perform system and data feed testing with Vendor, Employer Payroll and HR and complete data audits and pre-processing
  • Communicate product specifications to platform vendor supporting the Employer
  • Responsible for issue resolution for our customers with technical issues
  • SME for implementations utilizing Selerix
  • Support key enrollment technology distribution partner relationships
  • Participate in strategy sessions designed to identify, develop and deploy employer level enrollment strategies that drive sales growth, persistency and operational effectiveness.
  • Assess gaps in current enrollment strategy and implement systematic solutions to drive growth and achieve operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborates closely with internal business areas, field sales distribution, implementation, finance, compliance, underwriting, new business, customer service and IT, to effectively recognize and solve case level enrollment strategy issues.
  • Collaborates with these cross functional partners to drive sales revenue strategies, client retention and consumer persistency.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to field sales distribution, brokers and technology partners regarding enrollment strategies to support Allstate Benefits products
  • Support enrollment strategy planning initiatives with Field Sales Leaders and participate in finalist presentation meetings.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience
  • Excellent communication skills required to communicate with customers
  • 1 to 3 years experience in case set up for enrollment of employee benefits
  • Project management skills – 1 to 3 years experience managing multiple projects
  • Knowledge and understanding of the voluntary benefit enrollment process
  • Advance Knowledge of Microsoft SQL and Excel in order to manage data in the enrollment process

Project Manager Contract (Virtual) – HR BPO

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for managing/ recording detailed (end-to-end) project requirements (utilizing global HRBPO capture standards), constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders in order to establish the project deliverables, using standard global HRBPO capture requirement-gathering techniques against specific project delivery charter(s).
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques in order to keep the project plan accurate, updated and reflective of authorized project changes.
  • Measure project performance using project management tools and techniques in order to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders.
  • Recommend and implement the approved actions and workarounds required to mitigate project risk events in order to minimize the impact of the risks on the project.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior global HRBPO experience with Hewitt, Convergys, Northgate-Arinso, IBM, Accenture or ADP equivalent is a plus
  • Minimum 5 years project management experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience within Global HRBPO practice
  • Minimum 3 global HRBPO (large scale/complex) taxonomy/mapping projects
  • Minimum 5 years of experience conducting/leading end-to-end taxonomy, HR process mapping engagements.
  • PMI certification optional

Implementing Software-as-a-Service: Vendor & User Benefits to Outsourcing SaaS Implementation

Outsourcing the implementation of software is like separating the wheat from the chaff. You get the best without the rest.

Vendors and their clients both benefit by outsourcing implementation. Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) providers can concentrate resources on more lucrative functions, like product development and sales, by outsourcing implementation. Their customers, meanwhile, can speed adoption, thereby accelerating the return on their investment.

Revenue for cloud software reached $48.8 billion in revenue in 2014 and is expected to continue to experience a high rate of growth reaching $112.8 billion in revenue by 2019. SaaS delivery is growing nearly five times faster than the software market as a whole. SaaS has become a significant growth driver to all functional software markets; the cloud software model will account for $1 of every $4.59 spent on software by 2019, according to an August 2015 report by IDC.

SaaS applications are commonly used in customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), benefits administration and human capital management (HCM).

However, enabling technologies do not achieve full functionality unless planned and implemented properly. Outsourcing implementation helps SaaS vendors and users in the following ways.

Benefits for vendors

Software companies want to develop and sell great products.  Implementation is incidental to their success—and may in fact impede their growth.

As vendors grow and expand they bring in system integration partners to help with SaaS implementation. In our experience, the following are considerations that vendors may discover in bringing on system integration partners.

  • Software-as-a-service consultants, which vendors commonly call “system integrators” or “implementation partners,” specialize in project management, implementation and training for SaaS applications.
  • Sales could slow. Needlessly long and complicated implementations led by internal employees may limit a vendor’s ability to add customers. Vendors have found that time and resources spent implementing their software could be better deployed elsewhere, like in product development or sales. Implementation projects hold
    the potential to distract SaaS vendors from what they do best.
  • SaaS vendors may bear implementation costs for months, or even years, before they fully recapture the costs through clients’ fees. This impairs profitability, which can constrict share prices in the case of publicly held companies or depress valuations for private firms.  Servicing and supporting software post-implementation is
    more profitable for vendors.
  • A system integrator can provide service and support to the user before and during go-live. This allows a vendor to focus on servicing and supporting their software post-implementation.
  • A vendor knows their product best. Quality implementation consultants know how to leverage the product for the customer’s benefit. They use software to improve workflows and processes based on their business knowledge and project experience.
    In considering whether to outsource implementation, a vendor should weigh considerations like whether doing so would improve valuation, profitability or scalability. Choosing qualified, experienced SaaS professional services firms to implement would then allow them to control costs and quality.
  • SaaS specialists take a consultative approach so as to fully
    understand a user’s business process and organizational alignment.
    Then they make relevant recommendations to ensure optimal use
    of the enabling technology.

 

  • Consultants can assist companies in identifying workflow gaps and resolving the gaps with the SaaS application. They fix the process and then tailor the technology solution to the new process.
  • Outsourcing implementation properly ensures consistency in delivery.  Vendors generally require system integrators to undergo training, through curriculum and certification courses. Depending on the vendor, consultants may also be able to attain advanced training in specific software modules or for particular project roles.
  • Product training and certification fees provides additional revenue for vendors. Vendors commonly charge consultants hundreds of dollars a day to attend on-site training sessions, for example.
  • Vendors can expand their sales force and thus generate additional revenue, through value-added-reseller relationships in which SaaS consultants help them secure and service clients.

Benefits for users

In a web-based survey of more than 539 global business executives, 48 percent reported implementation costs for adopting new cloud-based software was the most challenging aspect of cloud deployment. Another 46 percent stated that integrating existing IT
architecture with new cloud services created challenges, according to a 2014 report by KPMG. Greg Bell Principal, Advisory, Information Protection at KPMG stated, “The question is no longer: ‘How do I move to the cloud?’ Instead, it’s: ‘Now that I’m in the cloud, how do I make sure I’ve optimized my investment and risk exposure?’

Vendors may be able to recommend implementation specialists for a client, but a company ultimately should choose the SaaS consultants best suited for their needs. Users should consider factors such as project methodology, technical and industry expertise, price, and experience on other systems used by the client, as applicable.

Properly planning and implementing SaaS will allow a company to accelerate its ROI. Vendors also benefit from outsourcing implementation in that they can grow more quickly by focusing on development and sales.
