Cold Fusion Software Developer

Providence Technology Solutions is hiring a Cold Fusion Software Developer for a benefit technology vendor.

Position Summary:

Seeking a well-rounded developer that has knowledge in all aspects of building ASP .NET and VB.NET Web Applications. This includes Web Forms, MVC, C#, JavaScript, XML, and CSS and Cold Fusion. You will also need experience developing SQL queries, stored procedures, and using ORM solutions. This is an agile environment and you will need to be able to work on multiple projects at once, while maintaining company standards. You will also be working with all the latest technologies in the Microsoft stack.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities include the following:

  • Job Description
    • Web application development and maintenance utilizing the Cold Fusion Web Application Framework and language
    • Develop and support Microsoft SQL Server database server and databases
    • Implement documented changes to the existing system and deploying enhancements and changes to production
    • Provide input and recommendations to project leadership and team members regarding the application system analysis, design, development and implementation
  • Qualifications
    • Experiencing developing Cold Fusion web applications using a combination of technologies including HTML, JavaScript, SQL Server Stored Procedures, Apache Tomcat
    • Knowledge of web services
    • Database design and query development with SQL Server
    • Experience in Insurance and Benefits industry is desired
    • Strong analytic and problem solving skills that can be applied to identifying and addressing production issues in a fast paced environment
