Lee Shipman and Providence Technology Solutions are hiring a PM for a year long assignment in Jacksonville, FL. The Project Manager is the individual that is responsible for managing the relationship between our executives and strategic initiatives and the Business units. This person requires extensive experience working with and managing large scale/ high visibility high profile projects
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assume full end to end program delivery of solutions with focus on processes, people and systems
- Responsible for the delivery of completed solution and smooth transition with all associated implementation activities
- Provide periodic status reports to management; provide senior level presentations on status which may include milestone achievement, financials, resource needs; and progress on deliverables, risks and issues. Confirm the Customer Success/Acceptance Criteria are fulfilled and met
- Lead the team through the execution of the project. Monitor progress against the plan and initiate corrective action as necessary
- Provide an End of Project Report with follow up on
- Create a Lessons Learned Report for future projects to benefit from
- Establish/Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) / Best Practice Processes to be leveraged across external Customer and internal entities
- Lean/Process Improvement tools leveraged to provide optimal Customer value
- Lead efforts focused on identifying, scoping, and prioritizing continuous improvement projects that align with Customer and roadmaps
- Recommend improved, strategic, measurable and sustainable solutions as well as identify further opportunities for improvement
- Apply advanced project management techniques to ensure on-time, high-quality deliverables
- Act as a mentor, coach, and technical leader in the deployment of Process Excellence using Lean Sigma and similar methodologies
- Manages project risks, issues/problems, and activity progress to ensure project goals (e.g., deadline, scope and quality) are achieved. Assists with problem resolution or risk mitigation as needed
EDUCATION & REQUIREMNTES:
- An Advanced degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience that is required for the specific job level.
- Must be in active pursuit of Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or have the equivalent level of education and experience for the job level.
- Requires management of multiple projects throughout the full lifecycle of inception to transition
- Requires 8+ years of experience working with cross functional teams
- Requires 3+ years managing external relationships on a consultative basis
- Workers Compensation industry knowledge is desired
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Extensive knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures and guidelines
- Knowledge of the industry project management best practices (i.e., Project Management Body of Knowledge – PMBOK)
- Knowledge of company’s products and services
- Advanced skill in the use of project management software to manage projects (e.g., MS Project and auxiliary tools, such as earned value database, audit tools, project repository, including risk, issues and action items database, SLIM Estimate, Metrics and Control, PlanView, Platinum Process Continuum)
- Demonstrated skill in managing project budgets and timelines
- Skill in the use of negotiation techniques to reach agreement when there are widely-differing viewpoints
- Excellent analysis, problem-solving, team, conflict management and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with executive level clients
- Ability to set clear expectations, manage team performance and build high morale among team members
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and carry out assignments that are sensitive in nature
