Lee Shipman & Providence Technology Solutions are looking for a Contract project manager with strong telecom project management experience (AVAYA systems).
Ideal Required Project Management experience:
AVAYA Installations / Upgrades
AVAYA phone/PBX/Voice system implementations / Upgrades
Call center applications implementations / upgrades
Business analysis and hands-on requirements gathering and documentation experience is a plus
Data gathering and data mapping experience for phone system configuration is a plus
Prior technical work experience as a telecom engineer is a big plus
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Serve as a Project Manager and liaison to various teams (include customer’s project/s stakeholders and vendors/partners) to drive the projects from inception to delivery/implementation meeting requirements (including client’s internal needs, SOW/Contract written between client and their vendors)
- Effective management of all project stakeholders and remove roadblocks for projects progress and success
- Effective management of project planning, resources, scope, time, risk, issues and quality for successful delivery and implementations adapting PMI or telecom industry project management best practices
- Help and assist on requirements gathering, data gathering, required project documentation to hand-off to technical/installation teams for systems design and configuration
- Ensure that the phone systems are procured, designed, installed, configured, tested and deployed meeting requirements and per client/partner satisfaction
- May need to plan and run projects concurrently at same time per client/partner needs
- Effectively prepare and present project status to executives, project sponsors, and Project stakeholders, Partners on daily/weekly basis per client/partner needs
- Maintain issues and risk logs with up to date and accurate information; Communicate effectively all open issues & risks; Resolve project issues and risks to keep the project on time for delivery
- Take the initiation, own and drive the projects from beginning to end for successful delivery
- Other standard project management activities following/adhering to PMBOK guidelines, partners/clients of ITBM company policies, compliance and industry regulatory requirements
- Provide assistance for IT departments and property stakeholders for communication, updates, development of materials, and coordination of tasks.
- Assistance with Procurement, Receiving and storage of needed equipment
- Coordination and tracking of any required network upgrades / expansions
- Coordination of hardware replacements, data gathering, template changes, etc.
- Coordination & integration with other 3rd party vendors/platforms
- Coordination & tracking of Testing (Operational Testing, Integrated Testing, UAT)
- Coordination of Training (End User, System Administration, Voicemail, etc.)
- Communication of Cutover Plan (outage expected & impact to the business)
- Coordination of removal and/or disposal of old hardware
- Provide new telephone inventory, to aide with PBX design, by filling out data gathering forms or toolkits that list inventory of extensions and telephones, phone dialing requirements and what inventory to remove.
- Implement move/add/change work freeze leading into cutover (with escalation)
- Installation of new telephones
- Assist, help and coordinate tasks related to users training on phone/voice systems
- Manage and coordinate cut over plan and tasks
- Proactively manage stakeholders, issues, risks to ensure smooth production phone/voice systems implementation
- Other duties as assigned by client/partner
