Providence Technology Solutions is currently looking for a Network Support Engineer for a contract to hire position in Jacksonville, FL.
Responsible for the applications and databases technical support of client’s systems. This person will also be required to perform network and server maintenance\troubleshooting including installations and configuration changes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper operation of all database and database servers (MSSql Server, MSAccess).
- Ability to perform advanced database tasks, such as creating SQL statements for data exports/inserts, data manipulation and reports. Microsoft SQL Server database management is a must.
- Server and Domain Maintenance (Microsoft Technologies)
- A good knowledge of the basic business flow as it pertains to the Information Technology
- Participate in the troubleshooting and perform Helpdesk tasks for any issues or items required by operations or administrative staff.
- Position will participate in the on-call rotation. This is a small IT group which requires a technically broad range of activities
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Science, or comparable experience
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and MS Access
- Experience with VMWare and remote services
